Colour is the product
Colour Bureau sell interior paint and advise on choosing it. The site has one obligation above all others: the colours must look like the colours.
Everything else gives way to that. Warm neutral pages, so nothing competes with the paint. Large, quiet type. Swatches that run edge to edge.
The studio maintains it
New paint, photographs, descriptions, an entire new page of copy — all of it is edited by the studio directly, in the browser, without a developer.
The catalogue’s structure is fixed, so no routine edit can leave the site broken.
Built to last without attention
Pages are served from machines close to the visitor, so they arrive immediately.
There is no database, no server to keep running, nothing to patch. The site will still be working in three years with nobody having touched it.
